A pilot climbs out of the cockpit of F-16CJ, serial # 92-3920, at Shaw AFB, S.C. The jet wears full-color markings for the 20th FW Commander, Col. Jim Post, and carries special artwork behind the cockpit and the patches for all the subordinate squadrons on the intake and the squadrons' colors on the tail. Note the LANTIRN targeting pod hung on the right intake cheek hardpoint in place on the Harm, Targeting System (HTS) pod usually found here in years past. With the bulk of Common Cockpit Implementatin Program upgrades completed, the F-16s of the 20th FW can now perform the Suppression of Enemy Air Defenses (SEAD) and the Destruction of Enemy Air Defenses (DEAD) equally well. The pilot wears a Joint Helmet Mounted Cueing System (JHMCS) helmet. © 2007 Greg L. Davis, Aviation Photojournalist cactusinburner@yahoo.com
