World Famous Flying Tigers on the Prowl! Firepower, Rescue and Refueling/Transport on-station to retrieve fallen aircrew.
HH-60G Pave Hawk, serial # 92-6465, of the 41st Rescue Squadron, 23rd Wing expends counter-measure flares in the late evening during a training mission. Using callsign 'Jolly 41', this aircraft is being flown and crewed by: LtC. Steve Gregg, 41st RQS Director of Operations, Capt. Brian Rhoades, SrA. Michael Morrison, SrA. Patricio Ramirez, and Capt. Joshua Carter. This aircraft wears special markings in the form of a tone-down sharksmouth on the cockpit doors along with the emblems of all flying squadron's at Moody on the left cabin door with the 23rd Wing emblem on the right cabin door. The 23rd Wing carries the famous Flying Tiger lineage and 'FT' tailcode and currently operate A-10Cs, HH-60Gs, HC-130Ps and MC-130Es. Most A-10s and three MC-130Es wear full-color sharksmouths and a lone HH-60G wears a tone-down sharksmouth. The remaining HH-60Gs and HC-130P Combat King aircraft do not have the famous marking applied as they do not want to attract undue attention. Photographed on 27 July 2009. © 2009 Greg L.
