Four black and gold AH-1F Cobra attack helicopters of the Sky Soldiers precision flight demonstration team fly in extremely close echelon left formation during a cross-country mission on 18 Oct. 2007. The aircraft are, from front to back, AH-1Fs serial # 67-15826 (N826HF), piloted by J.R. ‘Skip’ Lam (rear) and CW-4 (Ret.) Tony Hill (front), 66-15283 (N830HF), piloted by LtC. (Ret.) John Woodward (rear) and CW-4 (Ret.) Brian Callahan (front), 67-15766 (N766HF), piloted by CW-4 (Ret.) Jerry Krometis (rear) and Maj. (Ret.) Dave Stark (front), and 79-23233 (N233LE), piloted by USMC LtC. (Ret.) Peyton Dehart (rear) and CW-4 (Ret.) Richard Thetford (front). The Sky Soldiers AH-1F Cobras are flying to their final airshow appearance for 2007 in Ft. Worth, TX on 18 Oct. 2007. The Sky Soldiers Cobra demo team is part of the Army Aviation Heritage Foundation based in Atlanta, Ga. and is sponsored by the US Army Recruiting Command. focalplaneimagery > AT-38C Talon, serial # 68-8165, in-flight over Georgia during a training mission from Moody AFB. The jet is assigned to the 479th Flying Training Group, which will be dissolved soon as a result of the 2005 BRAC recommendations. All 479th training aircraft will be dispersed to AETC bases throughout the country. AT-38Cs of the 479th FTG are the only T-38Cs within AETC that wear an F-16 style paint scheme. The F-16 paint scheme furthers the mindset that the student pilots are no longer operating training aircraft, but because they are in the Introduction to Fighter Fundaments (IFF) program, they are now flying tactical aircraft. The pilots of the AT-38C Talon have excellent visibility from the cockpit. The HC-144A is a derivative of the EADS CASA CN-235-300 twin-turbo medium cargo aircraft tailored to the Maritime Patrol and Surveillance mission as part of the USCG Integrated Deepwater System. Ocean Sentry will eventually replace the HU-25.
